3D Printed Pin Art (Failed Prototype… turned Fidget)
This was supposed to be a classic pin art toy.
When I was a kid I always wanted one, but we never bought it. So I thought, “fine, I’ll just 3D print one.” It took around 12 hours… and when it came off the printer, I honestly wasn’t happy. The circles are too big, and it doesn’t really work like a proper pin art at all.
But here’s the weird part.
I never put it away.
It stayed on my desk, and I noticed I kept touching it whenever I was stressed. It’s not perfect. It’s a little irritating. And somehow… it’s also really satisfying. Like a stress-relief thing you don’t expect to work, but it does.
I don’t even know if I should call it a fidget toy, a stress toy, or just a failed idea that accidentally became useful.
All I can say is: try it.
