Description

Need a filament dryer? Here you go.

This is a simple ring adapter to fit a Nesco 13.5 inch food dehydrator.

  • Easy to Assemble? ✅ Yes! No glue, no complicated snaps, just 8 simple clips.
  • Fits A1 Mini? ✅ Yes! Other models were over the bed, but this one keeps it simple and under 184mm.
  • Makes use of that food dehydrator you bought 5 years ago “to save money” and has been sitting on a shelf collecting dust? ✅ Yes!
  • Cheap?  ✅ Cheaper than buying a dedicated dryer, that's for sure.
  • Profile for a .8mm nozzle, because a .4mm nozzle would take days?  ✅ Yes! I ain't got time for that.
  • Is this just walls?  ✅ Yes! (Well, almost.)
  • Precision Engineered, multi-use tool? ❌ No! I threw this design together in 20 minutes in FreeCAD with a tape measure while a toddler was crawling on me. It's a little loose, and it has exactly one purpose. But it works.

Is this the best possible adapter ring? No. But it will get the job done. It's not the dryer you want, it's the dryer you deserve.

Have fun, and happy printing!

Directions:

Print 4x.

Use the clips to attach the ring segments to each other.

Watch the first few layers to make sure you don't end up with spaghetti. If you do, adjust your settings, slow down, and try again.
