BabyDan Stair Gate Lock Smaller Height w/ Dovetail

Description
I live in a Victorian property and although our BabyDan stair gate is fantastic, trying to install it on our 125 year old staircase was proving to be difficult and ended up causing some damage to their spindles. The BabyDan lock supplied didn't fit underneath our banister rail which has a depth of 28mm and requiring 48mm to actually get from the spindle to the gate itself.
So instead of using wood, or a lot of spacers I decided to give modeling my own spacer ago, which led to me designing my own lock mechanisim that is compatiable with the original BabyDan lock and gate. I wanted a sturdy connection to the spindle but didn't want scews on show, so designed a dovetail joint to lock the lock in place whilst covering the screw holes.
This has been stress tested by our 13 month old, is going strong and works like a charm for 1 handed opening and closing just the original. This lock also saves on 40mm of height than the original lock so is very helpful if you are trying to fit around decorative structures like me.
