Description

Taylor Swift from the Era Tour

This is a custom-designed 3D printable miniature capturing Taylor in one of her most iconic "Fearless" era looks from the Eras Tour! 🎸✨ The model features her signature fringe dress and the rhinestone-encrusted acoustic guitar. 🎤✨

Model Features 🌟

  • Highly Detailed Sculpt: Includes the intricate textures of the fringe dress and flowing curly hair. 👱♀️👗
  • Optimized for FDM and Resin: While detailed enough for 4K resin printing, the geometry is structured to handle FDM printing with well-placed supports. 🛠️📦 Note: The model has more detail than you can print at 90mm tall. I have included the detail so that you can increase the size and decrease your nozzle size to get even more detail than I was able to achieve. You will notice that in my printed photo several of the guitar tuning knobs didn't get printed, and the guitar strings across the guitar opening are not existent, even though they exist in the design! PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ME LOW RATINGS DUE TO DETAIL LOSS… It was either accept these realities or just not give you all a chance to enjoy this model.
  • Iconic Posing: Captures the classic performance stance with her guitar. 🎼💃

Printing Recommendations 🖨️

  • Layer Height: For FDM, I recommend 0.08mm to capture the hair and dress detail. 🔍
  • Supports: I was able to get the best results using Normal supports, which you will see in the included print profile.
  • Infill: 10-15% Gyroid is sufficient for stability. 🧊
  • Orientation: The model is rotated and tilted in a very specific way to get the best results. I tried many, many orientations and wasted a LOT of filament to try to find the best positioning for this model. Enjoy the result of my efforts. 👢📍

Painting Tips 🎨

This model looks fantastic when painted with standard acrylics. To match the "Fearless" aesthetic:

  • Dress: Use a black base coat with silver or gold metallic dry-brushing on the fringe. ✨🖤
  • Guitar: A fine silver glitter paint or metallic marker works perfectly for the "rhinestone" face of the guitar. 💎🎸
  • Details: Don't forget the signature red lip and black tall boots to complete the look. 💄💋

That looks great! I'm about to switch to a .2mm nozzle myself but fear I could alienate those that use 0.4mm if I start creating models and testing with .2mm, you know?

this didn’t go well for me… lol it even went spaghetti for a sec on the guitar. 🤷‍♀️ maybe PLA isn’t ideal ?? I slowed it waaaaaay down and used the recommended rotation etc. Bambu P2S

Thanks for showing me a pic of what was produced. The first thing I noticed is that the supports seem to have stuck to your model a bit more than mine did. I wonder why that is? One thing I have been doing is disabling acceleration on my tougher prints. I took a screenshot to show you what I have been using lately. It might be worth a try. If you set the first acceleration setting to zero, the rest automatically go to zero and it results in a really well detailed print. Might be worth a try? The nice thing about these figurines is that they use very little filament so even if a print fails you don't waste a lot of material.

ppl do seem to like my other model at https://makerworld.com/en/models/2253272-taylor-swift-singing-90mm-miniature-figurine better, but I only posted this a couple days ago. It has 7 prints so far but 49 ppl have bookmarked it, probably to print later. Give it time. ;)
