Description
DIY Autodarts System for Home – Complete 3D Design + .3MF File Included
I'm sharing my complete design for the Autodarts system that I developed and 3D printed for installation in my home. The goal was to create a solid, precise, and aesthetic structure to integrate cameras and electronics around the dartboard, maintaining a clean and functional installation.
This model is intended for makers who want to build their own system without relying on commercial kits.
🔧 What does this design include?
- ✔️ Complete structural ring for Autodarts system
- ✔️ Camera mounts (3 strategic positions)
- ✔️ Adjustable mounts for precise alignment
- ✔️ Ring fastening and joining parts
- ✔️ Optimized design for 3D printing
- ✔️ .3MF file with my actual print settings
- ✔️ Part organization ready for manufacturing
🧩 Modular design
The system is designed in multiple parts to:
- Facilitate printing on home printers
- Avoid print volume issues
- Improve structural strength
- Allow custom adjustments
Some parts may need slight adaptation depending on:
- Exact camera model
- Dartboard type (I mounted it on a Gladiator II)
- Distance to the wall
- Lighting system you use
🖨️ Included File (.3MF)
I am attaching the original .3MF file that I used for printing.
In it, you can see:
- Exact orientation of each part
- Support settings
- Recommended print parameters
- Organization by plates
This makes it easy to replicate the project exactly as I made it.
⚙️ Printing recommendations
- Recommended material: PLA+ or PETG
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Recommended infill: 20–30%
- Perimeters: 3 or more for greater rigidity
- Some parts require supports (see .3MF)
For the main ring, I recommend printing with good adhesion and ensuring the bed is perfectly leveled.
🏗️ Assembly
The system consists of:
- Structural outer ring
- 3 camera support arms
- Wall mounting bases
- Segment joining system
It is advisable to perform a dry assembly before permanently fixing it to the wall to check alignment and angles.
📌 Important notes
- This is a DIY design; it is not a commercial product.
- It may require small adjustments depending on your setup.
- Basic experience in 3D printing and assembly is recommended.
- Does not include electronics or cameras.
🎯 Project goal
Achieve a functional, stable, and aesthetically pleasing Autodarts system for home use, reducing costs and allowing full customization.
