This Blastoise diorama was designed around one idea: presence over attack.
Instead of a dynamic water blast, the wave acts as an elemental frame — a physical extension of his environment. The composition focuses on balance, stability and display impact rather than action exaggeration.
The wave structure is optimized for FDM printing with manageable supports and reinforced connection points. The base has enough weight and surface contact to keep the model stable without needing hidden rods or tricks.
It prints well in multicolor PLA, but it also works great as a single-color print for later airbrush finishing. Layer transitions are clean and surfaces are sculpted to keep FDM detail visible without looking overly smooth or resin-like.
Designed as a display piece first, not just a print test.
