I just can't stop making yarn holders that look like other things, in this case a casserole dish that my mom (and perhaps yours) had when I was a kid. I had so much fun making this and it was so nostalgic that I may have to make some with other decorations - I'm thinking a "harvest gold" color has to happen!
This is a pretty easy print, though I do recommend it for color machines because fitting the decoration is finicky. There are no supports needed (your slicer may tell you that you need supports but you don't - is lie, a liar told you that lol). For the lid I have set my top and bottom layers and infill to octogram spiral just because I like how it looks and I'm in charge, but you certainly don't have to! I used both CookieCad Funfetti and just plain old transparent PLA for the lid, and I liked the Funfetti a little better (that's the lid on the middle size), but both work great. This one also scales really well so if you want an extra large bowl for your chunky blanket skeins or a tiny version for your stitch markers (it's been tested down to 50% but honestly you may be able to get away with even smaller), you should be covered. The smallest size in the pictures, the one filled with stitch markers, is 50% size. I also have the lid at 98.8%; it fits at 100% on my machines but I wanted to give it a little wiggle room.
I've also left the handles, the yarn space, and the cornflower decoration as their own individual bits so you can delete or move around as the spirit moves you - I think a version with two holes for colorwork would be fun. I hope it makes you smile as much as it did for me, happy printing!
