Connect your Bambu Lab P2S with the official exhaust add-on to an external Elegoo Mars Mate air filtration system and finally get serious about ABS/ASA fume control.

This print set creates a sealed, efficient airflow path between the printer and the filter using 2.5-inch flexible hose, turning two great standalone products into one clean, quiet ventilation system.

What this solves

The P2S exhaust module is designed to vent fumes, and the Mars Mate is designed to filter them — but they don’t natively connect.
This adapter kit bridges that gap so you can:

  • Capture ABS/ASA fumes at the source
  • Route them directly into a high-capacity carbon filter
  • Reduce smell and airborne particles
  • Keep your printing space comfortable

Included Adapter Parts

1. Printer Exhaust Adapter (2 versions)

Connects directly to the Bambu Lab P2S exhaust module.

You get two options:

Straight Adapter

  • Best airflow performance
  • Lowest resistance
  • Recommended when you have space behind the printer

90-Degree Adapter

  • For tight spaces against walls or shelves
  • Cleaner cable/hose routing
  • Slight airflow reduction, but still very effective

Both versions:

2. Mars Mate Intake Adapter

Connects the hose to the Elegoo Mars Mate intake port.

  • Clean mount to the filter housing
  • Maintains airflow efficiency
  • Designed to look like it belongs there

Hose Size

This system uses 2.5-inch flexible hose throughout.

Why 2.5"?

  • Excellent balance of airflow vs noise
  • Easy to source
  • Flexible routing
  • Fits typical hobby spaces

Printing Recommendations

Material

  • Any rigid material: PLA, PETG, ABS etc

Settings

  • 2+ walls
  • 15% infill
  • No supports required except on the 90-dg adaptor - there I would recommend tree supports.
  • Print adapters upright

Who this is for

This is for makers who:

  • Print ABS/ASA on a P2S
  • Already own (or plan to use) a Mars Mate
  • Want proper fume handling
  • Care about airflow efficiency
  • Like clean, purpose-built solutions

If you’ve been venting into the room or using loose ducting, this gives you a proper system.

Design Goals

  • Minimal airflow restriction
  • Clean aesthetic
  • Easy install
  • Modular components
  • Maker-friendly printing

Installation Overview

  1. Attach 2.5" flexible hose to both adaptors
  2. Connect hose to Mars Mate adapter
  3. Attach printer adapter into P2S exhaust module
  4. Turn on filter
  5. Print without the ABS smell taking over your house

Notes

  • Designed specifically for Bambu Lab P2S + official exhaust add-on
  • Designed for Elegoo Mars Mate
  • Choose straight or 90° version based on space

Why two printer adapters?

Airflow vs space.

If your printer sits in the open → use the straight adapter.
If your printer is against a wall → use the 90°.

I included both so you don’t have to reprint later.

Feedback welcome

If you build this setup, I’d love to see it.
Post a make and let me know:

  • Straight vs 90° preference
  • Hose routing
  • Any tweaks you’d like

Happy printing — and breathing.
