<h3><strong>Caius Octavius — Buste</strong></h3><h3>🇫🇷 Description</h3><p>Ce buste représente <strong>Caius Octavius</strong>, plus connu sous le nom d’Auguste, premier empereur de Rome et fondateur du Principat. L’œuvre s’inspire directement de son portrait le plus célèbre, largement diffusé dans l’iconographie antique et les reproductions historiques, servant aujourd’hui de référence principale pour son apparence.</p><p>Le visage présente des traits jeunes, calmes et idéalisés, caractéristiques de la propagande impériale romaine : un regard posé, une expression maîtrisée et une coiffure soigneusement structurée en mèches distinctes. Ces éléments visaient à transmettre l’image d’un dirigeant éternellement maître de lui-même, garant de stabilité et de paix.</p><p>Héritier et fils adoptif de Jules César, Auguste met fin aux guerres civiles romaines après sa victoire à Actium en 31 av. J.-C. et inaugure la <strong>Pax Romana</strong>, période de prospérité et de stabilité qui marquera durablement l’histoire occidentale.
