Description

☢️ Deathclaw - The Apex Predator (Fallout Series) - 10cm Display or mini 6,5cm

"The most dangerous thing in the wasteland isn't the radiation... it's what evolved to live in it."

Bring the ultimate alpha predator of the Mojave to your desk. This Deathclaw model is captured in a dynamic, low-slung prowling pose. Every detail, from the signature curved horns to the thick, plated scales, has been optimized to showcase the best of FDM printing.

📏 Design & Anatomy (Museum Quality)

  • Non-Flat Feet: To maintain 100% anatomical accuracy, I chose not to flatten the bottom of the feet. This preserves the natural curve of the claws and pads, making for a much more realistic display piece compared to "cut" models.
  • Stability: Despite the realistic feet, the model is perfectly balanced and stands securely on its own.
  • Dimensions: Standing 10cm tall or mini 6,5cm and approximately 16cm wide the 10cm tall (due to the sweeping tail), it is a substantial display piece.
  • Build Plate Compatibility: Even with its wide stance, it is designed to fit comfortably on an A1 Mini.

⚙️ Technical Print Settings (FDM Optimized)

  • Nozzle: 0.4mm Standard.
  • Layer Height: 0.12mm (Highly recommended to bring out the organic reptile skin textures).
  • Supports: Organic Tree Supports are required.
  • Wall Loops: 2.
  • Infill: 10%

🛠️ Critical Post-Processing Tip (Claw Care)

The claws and nails are the highlight of this model but require careful handling during cleanup:

  1. Loosen First: Do not pull supports away by hand. Use flush cutters or blade tweezers to gently loosen the support interface at the very tips of the claws.
  2. Directional Removal: Once loosened, pull the support material downwards and away from the body. This ensures you don't put upward pressure on the thin nails.

❤️ Support My Work If this model was useful to you, please consider giving it a **Boost**! 🚀 It helps me buy more filament to test and design new functional parts. *Happy Printing!*

Technical & Creative Note: This design is based on an AI generation (Tripo) that I have manually refined and tested on FDM prints to ensure printability and quality. The featured photo is of the actual physical print. I’ve included AI-colored renders only as a visual reference for those who wish to paint the miniature.

🛠️ Support the Process!

💡 What you see is what you get: Unlike many profiles that only upload digital renders of unprintable models, every single design here is fully test-printed, refined in Blender/Meshmixer, and optimized for FDM before release.

I spend hours tweaking geometries, custom supports, and wasting my own filament so that you can enjoy a flawless, hassle-free print on your first try.

If my test-printing hours saved your time and filament, feel free to keep my printers running and fuel the next project! Any support is greatly appreciated: paypal.me/mjrko84
