Description

šŸ“¦ Description

This fully customizable label dispenser offers a clean and practical way to organize and dispense label rolls of various sizes. Designed for maximum flexibility, you can adjust the dimensions to perfectly fit your needs. Version 3 brings major improvements:

  • Rebuilt in Fusion 360: The model is still individually customizable like V2, but features cleaner geometry and smoother operation.
  • New snap-fit system: Securely and easily connect multiple dispenser rolls together.
  • Improved lid mount: The lid attachment has been redesigned and now holds much more securely.

šŸ”§ Features:

  • Fully customizable spool holder dimensions
  • Improved snap-fit lid for a secure, tool-free assembly
  • New snap-fit connector system to link multiple dispensers firmly
  • Clean and minimal design with rounded corners and cutouts

šŸ’” How to use:

Important Note: You can only connect dispensers of the exact same size

Adjust the parameters (like spool diameter and thickness) to fit your specific label rolls. Print your customized box, lid, and the desired amount of snap-fit connectors.

šŸ—“ļø Update History:

  • V3.2 v10: Critical Bug fixed! Now the Combiner scales correct.
  • V3.2: The Combiner now scales with the Label Diameter instead of the label hole diameter. Important: Parts from version 3.1 and 3.2 are NOT compatible with each other. Please make sure to use parts from only one version!
  • V3.1: Release: Rebuilt in Fusion 360, new snap-fit connectors, and improved lid mechanism.
  • V3.0: never released

As you can see, it unfortunately doesn't work for me.... When you close the box, you can't open it again without tools. The design should be revised again. The parameters of the box are 100mm X 26mm

Hello @Trixxxtyle, thank you for your honest feedback and the pictures! I'm sorry the lid is so tight for you. I have already adjusted the model (increased tolerances on the lid and optimized the spacing and width of the slots) and uploaded the update. I am also currently printing and testing further optimizations myself to perfect the handling.

It's not so bad that the lid fits so tightly. Then it doesn't open immediately when you add a second dispenser with the connector. This should not mean that the tolerances are too small. These fit very well with PETG! It would just be practical if the oval holes for gripping were larger, so that you can open the lid without tools. And the problem that it doesn't release the labels from the roll is that the roll / paper needs to be under tension. Then it works. I think if you enter the inner diameter of the roll so that the roll has to be pressed on with some pressure, then it should also work. :)

I've now added some tape so the paper is under tension when pulled. This will ensure the labels are dispensed perfectly. Now I just need to enter different values in the parametric modeler so that the roll needs to be pressed into the dispenser with some pressure. I think then it should work. Only when you pull too far, they will stick to the dispenser. I saw something on another model here that could perhaps be added to this model as well, so that the labels can be detached from the dispenser without tools/knives. https://makerworld.com/en/models/2072018-label-dispenser-label-dispenser-with-quick-feed#profileId-2238051

I Have 3 different size rolls I, I want them all to have the same size boxes. I sized them based on the largest roll, the connectors are now different sizes, the connector should stay the same size, no matter how big the box is.

For example, one roll has a label hole diameter of 40, another one has a label hole diameter of 70, since the connectors are different sizes the boxes wont connect.

Thanks for the feedback! I have just uploaded an update to fix the scaling issues. I've fixed a bug where one part was still scaling with the inner hole diameter. Now, the boxes scale correctly with the label diameter (roll size) only. This ensures that all boxes of the same outer size will connect perfectly, regardless of their internal core diameter. Important Note: To fix this geometry, I had to change the connector logic. This version is unfortunately NOT backward compatible with the old files. Please use the new files for a consistent system.

Hi Is there a little bigger size available like 190 or 200 mm diameter for a bigger roll. TIA

Hi! You can actually customize Version 3 yourself to fit your needs. Just click on the 'Customize' button (MakerWorld Customizer) to adjust the dimensions. I recommend double-checking the preview after making changes to ensure everything looks right. If you run into any issues or if the customizer doesn't work for you, let me know and I can create a specific print file for that size.

Could a version be made for an A1 mini?

As long as the dispenser is not too large overall, it can be printed on the A1 Mini without any issues. Unfortunately, MakerWorld does not currently support splitting models into multiple parts automatically. So please use the cutting tool in your slicer to separate the base, lid, and connector, and print them individually.

COULD THIS BE CUSTOMIZED TO BE USED FOR A ROLL OF POSTAGE STAMPS

That shouldn't be a problem at all! However, I’m not exactly sure about the specific dimensions or how those stamps are rolled. If you could send me a photo, I can check if the design can be adapted for them. If you don’t have a PC to modify the model yourself, just provide me with a picture and the exact measurements, and I’ll create a custom print profile for you. Specifically, I would need: - The total outer diameter of the roll. - The diameter of the center hole. - The width (thickness) of the roll.

I found that the dispenser only works for rolls where the labels are on the outside of the roll! However, on all the shot patch rolls I own, the labels are on the inside of the roll
