Description
I wanted to create some kind of wardrobe for our caps and hats and i stumbled over rope hooks.
But this rope hook wardrobe cost over €150, so I decided to make such hooks myself.
And since I had wanted to do a project with OpenSCAD for a long time, I created these parametric rope hooks.
With this, you can create your own hooks, regardless of the rope's thickness or the hook's required length. Whether a bent hook or a short, small one with an additional prong, any combination should be possible.
It works best if you thread the rope through the hook from above.

Due to its design and a sharp inner edge, the hook easily holds small weights. Unfortunately, it's not designed for larger weights (e.g., jackets, backpacks).
You can increase the size of the inner edge using the "grip depth" parameter, but this also makes threading the hook more difficult.
For me, the best setting was to adjust the rope thickness to the measured rope thickness + 2mm; otherwise, I couldn't insert the rope.
