Description
Recycled 2L Bottle Bird Feeder – Easy, Eco-Friendly Print 🐦
Turn an empty 2-liter soda bottle into a functional, gravity-fed bird feeder with this simple 3D printed design. This model includes a bottle adapter base, filling funnel, and hanging hook, making it easy to assemble, fill, and hang in your yard, porch, or garden.
Designed for quick printing and simple assembly, this feeder helps reduce plastic waste while giving backyard birds a reliable food source.
Features:
- Uses a standard 2L plastic bottle as the seed reservoir
- Gravity-fed seed dispenser design
- Includes matching funnel for easy filling
- Integrated hook for hanging
- No supports used
- Beginner-friendly print
Tips:
- I mostly use Bambu PETF-HF filament as it prints like PLA but is more weather resistant
- PLA can be used as well It is just less durable
- I used wild bird seed in my feeders and the birds seem to love it
- Use caution when cutting slots into the bottle while assembling the hook
- Dont over-tighten the bottle, snug is good enough
- Print a few of them and place them near windows outside your home (give the birds some options)
Perfect for backyard bird watchers, homesteaders, or anyone looking for a practical and sustainable 3D printing project.
Print it. Fill it. Hang it. Enjoy the birds.
If you build one, post a picture — I’d love to see it in your yard! 🐦
