Description

Multifunctional housing for safe transport of the new Ubiquiti Unifi Travel Router. It is a pull-out case that can accommodate the device and the supplied USB-C cable.

The highlight: when using an Apple USB-C plug, the inlay can be used as a wall mounting aid in hotels or vacation homes. The housing is simply hung on the plug inserted into a power outlet and the small router is inserted crosswise into the slots provided. Done.

For those of you who like to tinker and use a different power supply, I have uploaded my original files as STEP files.

Printing instructions: I strongly recommend using Support PLA at the interfaces so that the necessary support structure can be easily removed after printing.

Great idea + design. Boost incoming. It would be perfect if you could add a latching mechanism on the lid though. I'm not a fan of how easily it slides open. A satisfying click when it closes would be perfect.

I'll think about it. The fit was pretty tight on me. You could increase the height of the inner part by 0.3 to 0.5 mm (in Bambu Studio)

I didn't want to mess with the scaling and chance the UTR not fitting anymore. Its a good fit it just slides open easily and like others have said risks an accidental drop. Its a great design and so close to perfect. A tab on the cover with recess on the inner part would make it snap closed - Ill try to see if I can add them in the slicer and upload a remix.

Fit is not perfect. The drawer slides out of the lid, I don't like it.
Other Issues:Hold of the two parts is not good, slides out too easily, device can fall out and be damaged.

1.) please calibrate printer 2.) optionally increase the inner part height by a minimal percentage For me it fits out of the box (P1S)

The printer is calibrated, the model has too much play, you can also see that when you measure the parts. It sits much too loosely

The distance is exactly 0.3mm between both bodies, that is actually tight. I can gladly upload a modified base for you with less distance if you like. Tell me what you need

if you don't have a special support pla i found using petg as a support/raft interface worked well. Also change the support trees to slim worked just fine. I struggled with the first plate and ended up using a dremel to shave out all the broken support stubs but got there in the end. Thanks for making this!
