Description
I designed this Vertical GPU Airflow Shroud because I noticed a "dead zone" of air between the bottom intake fans and a GPU mounted vertically.
- Even with 2x140mm fans at the bottom, much of that cool air gets lost in the main chamber before it reaches the GPU. This shroud acts as a dedicated air duct, capturing that intake and funneling it directly into the GPU fans.
- It creates a high-pressure path that significantly improves thermal performance and keeps the GPU cooling a bit more efficient.
- Don't expect drastic improvements in temperatures, but it should help with efficiency of airflow and GPU fan speeds.
- It also has a shallow slope to help airflow and to clear your vertical GPU mount.
Recommended Print Settings:
- 2 walls, 15% infill
- Print in PETG / ABS / ASA if the temps in your case are high. Otherwise, PLA should also work. Quick note about ABS, it might cause some warping due to large thin nature of the part.
- Printed in the orientation from the last picture, it can fit on 256mmx256mm plate
- Make sure supports are enabled.
