For ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, Cupra Born & other MEB-based vehicles

Water intrusion into the charge port lock actuator is a known issue on vehicles built on the Volkswagen MEB platform, including the Volkswagen ID.3, Volkswagen ID.4, Volkswagen ID.5, Cupra Born etc. 

Rainwater can run down along the locking pin and into the actuator housing, potentially causing corrosion, sticking mechanisms, or actuator failure over time.

This two-piece protection kit is designed specifically to prevent water from following the locking pin into the actuator during charging.

🔧 How It Works

The design consists of two integrated components:
 

1. Precision-Fit PLA Cylinder
A rigid 3D-printed PLA sleeve that slides over the locking pin and locks into place by twisting. The cylinder is also made with a hook for easy storage on the charging port. 
 

2. Flexible TPU Sealing Flange
A soft TPU flange is superglued into the cylinder, forming a flexible, water-deflecting seal near the base.
