Running Basset Hound - Flying Ears | Dynamic Dog
Print Profile(1)

Description

Maximum speed, minimum aerodynamics! đžđ¨
If you thought Basset Hounds were only good for sleeping, think again! This dynamic sculpture captures the majestic (and hilarious) moment a Basset Hound breaks into a full sprint. With its short little legs fully extended and its massive ears flapping wildly in the wind, this model is pure joy in plastic form.
Sculpted in the same smooth, flowing style as the "Sitting Basset," this action pose makes for a fantastic desk toy or a funny gift for any hound owner who knows the chaos of the "zoomies."
⨠Recommended Materials:
- Vibrant Blue/Neon: (As seen in the photo) Gives it an incredibly fun, cartoon-network or pop-art vibe.
- Matte Tri-Color (Paint): Painting this in classic Basset colors (Black/Brown/White) makes the dynamic pose look incredibly lifelike.
- Silk Silver/Gold: Turns the goofy dog into a sleek "hood ornament" style statue.
đ¨ď¸ Print Settings & Advice:
- Supports: Crucial.
- This is an action pose! The belly, chest, front paws, and especially those flying ears are suspended in mid-air and will require substantial support.
- Tree Supports (Auto) are highly recommended. Make sure your slicer generates sturdy trees for the ears so they don't wobble during the higher layers of the print.
- Resolution: 0.12mm or 0.16mm layer height is best to keep the sweeping curves of the ears looking perfectly smooth.
The Maker's Menagerie: This energetic pup joins its brother, the "Sad Basset," in the dog pack! Check my profile for the rest of the zoo.
