I'll keep an eye out to 3d scan the rears if I can find them. These parts are getting g hard to find. 😢

👋 I use an Einscan HX to do all of my 3d scanning. I have tried other scanners and they were never as accurate as I would like.
The einscan is crazy expensive but worth it for how precise it is.

So with the Einscan HX there is no post processing needed at all beyond whatever is software does? You scan an item and then essentially have an clean and ready STL or 3mf that can be printed or imported into a program?

yes exactly. unless you want to modify the part somehow. It's just scan....export to STL...then your normal stuff that we do on the printer like add supports, etc.

What product did you use to scan this? Also curious how you went from the scan to a good model. I am struggling there but want to produce models of parts like this for others. My scans are decent but always need a little fix and that is where I am struggling at.

yeah I was going to but the cup/base is usually always there just missing the handle. If I get my hands on another one I'll upload it here and tag you. 👊

this print profile is both passenger and driver door handles. with each plate labeled respectively.this uses “strong” tree supports, as i struggled over 8 times using normal support and abs.along with 6 walls (because its a very active component) and 50% infill to withstand the forces.this is auto orientated and arranged for best positioning and clean external look.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SLOWING DOWN TO 50% SPEED UNTILL YOU GET TO LAYER 324. THIS IS WHERE THE 2 PARTS CONNECT. after this layer it will be strong enough to support the faster movements of the printer. (this was tested on a x1c, maybe a1 series don&#39;t need to be slowed down)

0.2mm layer, 6 walls, 50% infill

This is a 3D scan of an Acura Integra outside door handle that is discontinued from the factory and you can't find these in junk yards or even Ebay anymore. So I found one and scanned it. If you need the other side, you can mirror the part and have both handles.Save the classic Hondas!!! lolHopefully someone will be able to get into their car easier now. :)
