Hello! How are you? In photo 14, I see there's a sort of support where the mask is attached. Could you tell me more about that please

hola! muy bien, gracias, espero que tú también 😊. In my case, I adapted the inner headband of a toy safety helmet for kids, since it was for my son, but the same approach can be applied to a real adult helmet. I secured it using cable ties threaded through the holes in the Predator’s hair.

In addition, above the Predator’s forehead I screwed in two wide-head screws aligned with the two inner tips of the mask so I could hook it on. Then, on the helmet’s forehead, I fixed a magnet from an old hard drive, and on the inside of the mask I glued a metal strip so the mask stays in place and doesn’t come off.

I bought them in different diameters, cut them to the required length, gently heated one end with a lighter, then tapered it by hand, shaping the tip as if I wanted to make a point.

The project only concerns the Predator mask, and it is adult-sized. For my son, I scaled it down to 80% after measuring his head with a tailor’s tape measure. The armor was handmade using cut foam sheets and post-processed afterward.

Man this is cool - any tips on how to paint it?

thank you! 🚀🚀 To paint it, I first use a gray acrylic primer, then I move on to acrylic colors. I apply a black base coat with a brush, two layers. Once it’s completely dry, take a small sponge, dab it in silver acrylic paint, remove the excess on a sheet of paper, then gently dab it onto the mask. You’ll get a really nice metallic effect. Repeat with multiple passes until you’re happy with the result. Finally, apply a matte clear spray to protect and seal the paint.
