Description

Blank Man: Pure-Flex [No. 06-S] – Enhanced Articulated Figure

Blank Man is back... and this is a serious upgrade. While he keeps the successful Print-in-Place (PiP) head from No. 05, the rest of the body has been completely redesigned.

Pure-Flex features greatly improved ball joints throughout, including upgraded knees and elbows. The result? A massive jump in poseability and range of motion. He’s also a much more forgiving print for those who might have struggled with the tighter tolerances of previous versions.

What's New in the [No. 06] Chassis?

  • Cross-Body Reach: He can now bring his hands properly in front of his body, unlocking loads of new poses—from face-palms and chest-pats to full-on "Dab Mode."
  • Advanced Stability: Despite the increased flexibility, he keeps the signature Blank Man balance and can still perform his one-handed handstand.
  • Refined Joints: Smoother rotation and better friction-fit to hold those dramatic poses longer.

The "Pure" Promise

  • 100% Print-in-Place: No assembly, no glue.
  • Support-Free: Designed specifically for 3D printing from the bed up.
  • Hardware-Free: No magnets or screws—just pure plastic engineering.

This is easily my favourite version so far. If you print one, I’d love to see the poses you come up with.

Challenge: See if you can achieve the pose in my last picture, it took me ages!

This model is part of an ongoing exploration into 3D-printed articulation. Each entry in the "Blank Man" series is a distinct, standalone engineering project—built from the ground up to test specific mechanical functions (such as print-in-place tolerances, magnetic integration, or advanced joint ranges). Unlike a simple version update, each "Blank" offers a completely different assembly logic and play-style for the community to explore.
