Description
There are differing opinions on whether filtering is necessary when printing PLA and PETG, but I personally experienced clear discomfort in my throat after being near the printer for a while, so I need to filter!
The best solution is definitely to vent outside, but current conditions don't allow for it. So, I considered using a PM2.5 filter element to simply filter the air. Since PLA and PETG printing primarily generates particulate matter, a PM2.5 filter element can completely capture them. I've been using it for a week, and I no longer feel discomfort near the printer, so it's still useful. Therefore, I'm sharing it with everyone.

This exhaust adapter, designed based on the classic riser, can be installed at any exhaust port position and can accommodate a circular filter element. See the image below for relevant dimensions;


Any 12cm fan can be installed for exhaust;
I personally installed a limit switch at the bottom of the P2S (see image below). After a simple Gcode modification, the fan can automatically turn on during printing. Each time printing is complete, it will lower to the lowest point, trigger the limit switch, and then stop the fan's operation. If anyone needs this feature, please leave a message and let me know. If there's high demand, I will share all models and related implementation tutorials.
