I got tired of having to carry around the Kuat security allen wrench when installing and removing the rack and wanted some on-board storage. This will hold the allen wrench and a hitch pin. Secure enough to leave the items in the holder and drive down the highway but I don't recommend leaving the wrench in place unless you have a locking hitch pin as your primary.
Inside dimensions of the tool holder are approximately 70mm x 34mm. My Kuat has elliptical beams but I'm not sure if they all have the same construction.
Designed for the Kuat Transfer v2 rack. After ensuring it'll fit your rack, print and install to the left support as you're looking at the bike rack from the rear of your vehicle. Remove the locking mechanism from the rack, slip this on with the allen wrench older to the outboard side and reinstall the lock. I don't recommend leaving the wrench on the bike rack because it's one of your security measures for preventing theft but if you put a back up hitch pin on the inside and insert your cable lock, it'll be difficult, if not impossible to remove without breaking it off.
