Print Profile(1)

Description
Drain Water Odor Trap V1.2
The water odor trap is a 2-part, purely mechanical odor barrier/check valve system for wastewater pipes It reliably prevents sewer odors but remains functional if a **negative pressure in the sewer** forms or **water accumulates on the surface**
The model consists of:
- Ring (mounting frame)
- Flap (closes by **its own weight/gravity**)
Operating Principle
- Normal state: Flap lies closed and blocks odors from the sewer
- In case of negative pressure in the sewer: The flap opens to allow air to flow in
- In case of water on the surface: The flap opens to allow water to drain
After opening, it closes again **horizontally** due to the additional weight of the flap
Installation
- Must be installed **horizontally** into a pipe with an **inner diameter of 65 mm**
- Insert ring, attach/insert flap (lightly deburr hinge areas if necessary), check mobility: **smooth opening/closing**, without jamming

Printing Instructions (important)
So that the flap closes securely again after opening, the **opposite side of the flap** (the “weight side”) must be printed with **99% infill**
Tip (Bambu Studio/
OrcaSlicer): Use a **modifier** (e.g., cube/block) to cover only this side and set **Infill 99%** there Alternatively, print the **entire flap** with very high infill (more material consumption, but simple)
Recommendations (optional, if you want to write them in the Print Settings):
- Material: **PETG/ASA** (humid environment), PLA only to a limited extent
- Clean edges on the hinge: lightly deburr/sand if necessary
