  • Sheetrock Screws x 3:

Description

Constructed using the base from the older ZWA-2 thanks to https://makerworld.com/en/@AdamL for that older model.

This print gives you the ability to mount your ZBT-2 on the wall (sticking outward or even on the ceiling (with optional compression plate for drop ceilings). Countersunk holes are placed and allow the use of any standard drywall screw.  I left a small amount of play between the sides to allow easy removal of the device from the bracket if needed.

I highly suggest printing this with PETG so you get a little bit extra flex on the clips.  This is a great way to mount your Zigbee Connect.

Please note that the base on this is extra thick to help guarantee that the use of screws will not crack the mount.  The Optional back bracket has smaller holes that match up so that you can use sheet rock screws and sandwich the mount through drop ceiling tiles while providing a nice and secure connection.  Pair this with an extra long USB cable that can be hidden to allow yourself the ability to place your Connect wherever works for the best coverage!

Changes Made:
* Resized the model to fit the new smaller footprint
* Removed recesses for the wall brackets and Added screw holes with bevel to use common sheetrock screws.
* Added additional thickness to the base to help prevent any failures of the plastic during install.
* Added 3 simple clips to the side walls that allow you to snap the ZBT-2 into place while also allowing a small amount of additional room to bend clips out of      the way for removal as needed.
* made a small opening in the base to allow for USB cable to attach from a small hole off to the side.
