This bust depicts Benjamin Franklin, inspired by the most famous representation of the American Founding Father, widely known through his official portraits. The sculptural treatment highlights his serene face, long hair, and thoughtful expression — characteristics that define the image of the scholar-philosopher.
A scientist, inventor, diplomat, and writer, Benjamin Franklin played a decisive role in the birth of the United States. He participated in drafting the Declaration of Independence and helped establish diplomatic relations with France during the American Revolution. His experiments on electricity, notably the famous kite experiment during a storm, profoundly influenced the history of science.
