Description

Before printing this model, please read the entire description carefully.

THIS MODEL IS PURELY A TOY

Please use with caution and never aim or shoot at the face.

I'm very happy to present the new Functional Suppressed Toy Pistol, inspired by the Ruger MKIV-SD. This toy gun works with toy cartridges (not included) which you can find at the following MakerWorld link: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2977277-working-toy-cartridge-v2#profileId-3339925

New version is available!

Instructions for printing and assembling the model:

The model does not have supports for the suppressor, so it is recommended to activate the automatic tree supports if you are concerned that it might come off the build plate.

To assemble the following model you will need two small rubber bands, which you can find at the following link: https://eu.store.bambulab.com/it/products/rubber-bands?id=48947671531868

The rubber bands should have a diameter of approximately 16 mm (like hair ties), otherwise there is a risk that the force will not be strong enough for the cartridge to work.

  • Before completing the assembly, remember to check that the parts move smoothly!

  • In the print profile of the model there is a tool specifically designed to position the rubber band and to screw in the screws

Firing tests

This model may still be a toy, but it is very powerful, and therefore, as already mentioned, you should never shoot it in the face as it can be risky. The approximate firing distance is about 15 meters (50 feet), using the maximum number of rubber bands in the cartridge (6). I recommend being careful when shooting at objects as it could damage them.

Here's some slow motion footage of the gun:

This Roman arch is indestructible XD

As you can see in the first two shots, the bullet breaks upon impact. This is because the target is not very far away, and the bullet reaches it at a speed of about 70 km/h (43,5 mph), breaking as a result. I therefore recommend maintaining a distance of at least one meter from the object you are shooting at.

Regarding Safety

  • This model is purely a toy and should be treated as such. It has nothing to do with real weapons.
  • The model is not intended for children under 3 as it contains small parts that could cause choking
  • Given the realism of the toy, it is absolutely forbidden to use it outside of your own property as it could be seen as a real weapon.
  • Since it is a toy, I recommend printing the model using bright and vivid colors, so that it cannot be misunderstood.
