Description

Scaffolding Temperature Logger Clamp (Elitech RC-51 Mount)

This is a custom clamp I designed to securely mount an Elitech RC-51 temperature data logger to standard scaffolding pipe.

I created this for active construction monitoring and it is currently installed and being used on exterior scaffolding at the Flatiron Building in NYC to log ambient temperatures during facade and masonry work.

šŸ”§ Features

  • Fits standard scaffold pipe (1.5ā€ā€“1.9ā€ OD typical range)
  • Secure snap-in holder for Elitech RC-51
  • Zip-tie locking slot for added security
  • Open bottom for airflow and accurate ambient readings
  • Durable one-piece design
  • Easy to install and remove

šŸ— Real-World Use

Designed for:

  • Construction temperature monitoring
  • Masonry curing documentation
  • Concrete and facade work
  • Exterior winter condition tracking
  • Jobsite QA/QC documentation

This mount keeps the logger stable while allowing proper airflow so readings are not influenced by direct contact with metal pipe.

šŸ–Ø Print Recommendations

  • Material: PETG, ASA, or ABS recommended for outdoor durability
  • PLA works for short-term indoor use
  • 4+ perimeters
  • 40%+ infill for strength
  • No supports needed (depending on orientation)

šŸ“Œ Installation

  1. Snap logger into mount
  2. Wrap clamp around scaffold pipe
  3. Secure with zip tie or fastener
  4. Start logging
