Description

Our Lady of Sorrows – 3D Printable Model (10 cm)

This 3D model of Our Lady of Sorrows was developed based on a classical reference image, with attention to proportional accuracy, balanced geometry, and surface continuity. The model was designed specifically for small-scale printing while preserving key visual details.

The reference print was produced at 10 cm total height, maintaining correct proportions at this scale. Printing was performed using PLA filament (ivory white) on an FDM 3D printer, selected for its dimensional stability, ease of printing, and clean surface finish.

The model is suitable for FDM printers and does not require complex structural modifications. Standard layer heights provide acceptable results, though finer layer settings will improve facial features and garment folds. Depending on printer performance and slicer configuration, minimal supports may be required.

Technical notes:

  • Intended scale: 10 cm height (scalable if needed)
  • Material tested: PLA
  • Printing technology: FDM
  • Orientation: upright recommended
  • Use case: decorative and devotional display

This model aims to represent the devotional symbolism of Our Lady of Sorrows with a restrained and respectful aesthetic, emphasizing form, proportion, and print reliability.
