Stability, low costs and great benefits?
That's exactly what I wanted to combine when I started designing the enclosure for my U1!
After countless hours of testing, I can confirm that the design definitely handles printing speeds without issues and the quality is maintained!
And for minimal effort!
What is needed for assembly?
- PETG
- Superglue
- 3x 6mm plywood 297x210mm
- 1x 1mm Plexiglas 297x210 mm (2mm and 3mm versions of the lid will follow)
- PTFE tubes
- Extension cable feeder
- 10mm pan head screws
The assembly of the main body is almost self-explanatory. For the lid, just make sure the Plexiglas is mounted. Small leftover pieces of PTFE tubes are installed on the feeder plates. The wooden back panel must be provided with 4 holes (see pictures)
