VAG Coolant Cap Removal Tool (VW/Audi/Skoda/SEAT)

This is a simple 3D-printable tool designed to help open the coolant reservoir caps found on most Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, and Skoda vehicles.

These caps can be difficult to grip and turn by hand. This tool slides over the cap to provide a better surface for your hand and prevents your fingers from hitting surrounding clips or sensors while loosening or tightening the reservoir cap.

• Improved Grip: The vertical ribs provide better leverage than the shallow scallops on the factory cap.
• Hand Protection: Keeps your knuckles away from sharp plastic edges and tight spaces in the engine bay.
• Compact: Fits easily in a glovebox or tool kit.

Printing Recommendations:

• Material: PETG, ASA, or ABS recommended if you plan to leave the tool in the car in hot climates. PLA will also work otherwise.
• Strength: 3 walls and 15% gyroid infill should be enough, feel free to raise the wall count to 4-5 if you have a more stubborn cap.
• Orientation: Print as oriented in the file (wide opening up) for best results, no supports needed.
