Easy-to-use, very robust, and durable self-locking rope tensioner
Mechanism with teeth on an involute profile to ensure maximum grip. The more the rope is pulled, the more the mechanism closes, resulting in an easy-to-use and very powerful rope tensioner
To release the rope once tightened, simply open the locking lever or lift the unloaded end of the rope
I personally tested the static load resistance of a version printed in PLA Matte Bambu Lab and it perfectly withstood 70kg without the slightest jolt. Despite its high strength, DO NOT USE FOR CLIMBING OR ANY OTHER USE THAT INVOLVES THE SAFETY OF PEOPLE, ANIMALS, OR OBJECTS
Printing is not the simplest; there are some supports to remove, so arm yourself with patience and tweezers; it will be worth it. For optimal use, once printed, remove all supports from inside the mechanism and sand it to ensure everything slides smoothly. The model will be ready when the side return spring has no trouble closing the mechanism
For outdoor use, it is highly recommended to use PETG as the printing material
