Milo the Cat is a playful and practical Scrub Daddy holder designed to add charm to your kitchen sink. With his rounded shape and curious expression, Milo turns a simple sponge into a cheerful everyday companion.

Designed in a print-first sculptural style, Milo features smooth rounded surfaces and embedded details for durability and easy cleaning. The integrated curved backplate securely supports a standard Scrub Daddy sponge while keeping the design stable and compact on your countertop.

A built-in drainage system is integrated into the design: water from the sponge drains through the bottom and flows out through Milo’s mouth. This helps prevent water buildup and keeps your sponge better ventilated between uses.

The model can safely be scaled up if desired. Downsizing is not recommended, as the internal dimensions are optimized to properly fit a standard Scrub Daddy sponge.

Important printing note:

 If you don't use the bambustudio file, set supports to “build plate only”. Do not allow automatic supports everywhere, as supports may generate inside the drainage channel.

For my multicolour models: if you are printing with a single extruder printer, you may see a significant amount of filament waste. This is not caused by the model itself, but by the way colour changes work with this type of printing system.

If you want to reduce the waste, you can:

• print multiple copies of the same model on one plate
• print several models from the same collection on one plate (import the 3MF files in one file)
• reduce the number of colours or print the model in a single colour

🔎 To the AI detectives:

I design using tools like Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Blender, Nomad Sculpt, Meshmixer and sometimes Tinkercad. Like most modern designers, I also use AI as one of the helping tools in my workflow.

My real work is turning my ideas into clean, nice and printable models through many hours of manual refining, testing and iteration.
