Description

Pencil Cases for 6/12/18/24 – Fits Standard Thin Pencils (7.2mm)

Boost Me (for free)

Stop losing pencils to broken boxes and messy drawers. This set of print-in-place pencil cases holds 6, 12, 18 or 24 standard thin pencils (approximately 7.2mm diameter, 190mm length) and brings instant order to any art space.

The Problem:
Pencils arrive in flimsy cardboard boxes that tear, get wet, and fall apart. You can't see what's inside. They don't close properly. And pencils? They roll. They hide. They vanish into the "junk drawer" where functional supplies go to die, leaving you with a handful of mismatched colors and no idea what's missing.

The Solution:
I discovered something simple: when kids can see every pencil at once and each one has its own home, they actually put things back. Sets stay complete. Colors stay together. No more mystery missing pencils.

Why These Cases Work:

  • Universal Fit: Tested with round, hexagonal, and triangular pencils from multiple brands. Works with most standard thin pencils on the market.
  • Sizes: Choose 6, 12, 18 or 24 slots depending on your set.
  • Print-in-Place Hinge & Lock: Prints as one piece—no assembly, no hardware.
  • Secure Snap Closure: Stays firmly shut during transport.
  • Individual Grips: Each pencil snaps into its own holder—no rattling, no rolling.
  • Instant Visibility: Open it and see your entire color range immediately.

Not Sure About Your Pencil Size?
Download the included test file featuring two holder clips. Print it infew minutes, insert your pencil, and confirm the fit. If it holds securely, you're good to go! The test piece also works as a simple holder afterward—zero waste.

⚠️ Critical Print Settings for Success:

  • Material: PETG is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. The hinge and locking clip need excellent layer adhesion. PLA is often too brittle.
  • Calibration is Crucial: Weak layer bonding = broken clips. Ensure your printer is dialed in.
  • Infill: 10–50% (20–30% is sufficient).
  • Supports: No.
  • Brim: No.
  • Orientation: Print as provided—the mechanism works straight off the build plate.
