TANTRIX CONNECT - Bookcase Edition

TANTRIX was a strategy game invented in New Zealand in 1991. TANTRIX CONNECT uses a 4-part game board to allow for the placement of the TANTRIX game pieces. TANTRIX CONNECT can be played as solitaire puzzles, ranging from easy to almost impossible, or as a multiplayer strategy game featuring a combination of strategy, luck and skill. Each tile has three tracks on it, in three different colors (out of four colors). Each track starts on one side of the tile and ends on another. The goal of the game is to create the longest line or loop of your chosen color. If you create a closed loop, each tile counts for two points.

GAME COMPONENTS

The TANTRIX CONNECT - Bookcase Edition set includes a 4-part board, 60 Tantrix Tokens and a Bookcase Edition storage box. The 4-part board connects together using a hidden central connector.

BOOKCASE EDITION BOX

The TANTRIX CONNECT - Bookcase Edition game includes a Bookcase Edition box with a slide top. This bookcase edition box can be stored on a shelf with your other matching bookcase edition games. The box includes storage areas for the game pieces and game board.

To store the parts, place the connector into the recess in the bottom of the box. Add all the Tantrix Tokens onto each of the 4 game board sections and then place each game board into the box. Slide the lid onto the box, the game pieces will now stay securely in place.

INFORMATION & ASSEMBLY

All parts were printed with PLA filament, matt or flat colored filaments work best on board games. I use a textured plate for adhesion. Some parts will need to be superglued, for example, the book spine is glued to the square cornered side of the bookcase box. A little bit of oil on the edges of the lid will help with the slide into the box top.

The Tantrix Game Pieces are made of two parts. Print plate 1 (black base sections) twice and print the 4 plates (colored Tantrix top sections) once. Add a small dot of superglue in the black base section and then insert a colored Tantrix top into the base.
