This is a functional remix designed specifically for the Teacher’s Apple by DUG. While the original model is a fantastic desk ornament, this version extends the base and integrates a dedicated square pen holder to turn the display piece into a high-utility desk organizer.
The base has been elongated to provide better stability and more room for the custom nameplate, while the added square compartment is sized perfectly to hold a variety of pens, markers, or even a small pair of scissors.

Recommended Print Settings
To ensure the best finish for a classroom desk, I recommend the following:
- Material: PLA for vibrant colors or PETG for extra durability.
- Walls: 3 Wall Loops (Provides extra strength for the pen holder walls).
- Infill: 15-20% (Great for structural integrity without wasting filament).
- Layer Height: 0.2mm is perfect, but use 0.16mm if you want a smoother finish on the base's curves.
- Support: Not required! The square holder and base are designed to be print-friendly.
Assembly Instructions
- Print this extended base.
- Print the Apple and Nameplate components from the original model by DUG.
- Slot the Apple into the circular recess and slide your customized nameplate into the front groove.
- (Optional) A small drop of superglue can be used for a permanent bond, though the fit is designed to be snug.
