What is this?
This is a high-quality, physical replica of the legendary Subspace Tripmine from Roblox.
Unlike crude texture rips available online, this model is engineered for 3D printing from the ground up. It features a fully modular design with precise tolerances, allowing for a clean, large-scale result without the hassle.
Features
- Modular & Clean: Frame and core are separate. No painting required if you use colored filaments (e.g., Black frame, Red core).
- Precision Fit: The frame parts are designed with a 0.1mm tolerance. They snap together tightly and hold firm without glue.
- Large Scale: Designed to be a substantial prop (approx. 24x24 cm).
- Display Stand: Includes a custom base to display the mine balanced on its corner.
Print Settings
- Material: PLA or PETG (Matte PLA looks great for the frame).
- Walls: 3 perimeters recommended for frame stiffness.
- Infill: 10-16%.
- Supports: Not required for frame parts if oriented correctly.
Assembly
- The Star (Core): Printed in halves. Requires glue to join the two parts. You can print this in Red filament for an authentic look, or print in white and paint it.
- The Frame: Consists of corners and tubes. Designed for a tight friction fit. Simply press the connectors into the corners. No glue needed—the 0.1mm tolerance ensures a solid, permanent bond.
- Finish: Place the assembled star inside the frame during assembly, then mount on the stand.
