Description

T4 lysozyme is an enzyme that helps break down bacterial cell walls — a classic protein used to teach how structure relates to function. This model is designed for teaching protein tertiary structure, showing how different secondary-structure elements pack together into a stable 3D fold.

Color code in the model: Red = α-helices; Blue = β-sheets; Black = coils/loops; Green = hydrogen bonds; Orange = struts (for support)

The model shows the color capabilities of 3DP-Jmol (https://github.com/mariusmihasan/3DP-Jmol), our script for automatically converting structural data into printable files.
