Clyde the Highland Cow is a practical and playful Scrub Daddy holder designed to bring character to your kitchen sink. With his compact shape and sturdy stance, Clyde turns a simple sponge into a cheerful countertop companion.

Designed in a print-first sculptural style, Clyde features layered fur in embedded relief to maintain durability and easy cleaning. The integrated curved backplate securely supports a standard Scrub Daddy sponge while keeping the overall design stable and compact.

A built-in drainage system is integrated into the design: water from the sponge drains through the bottom and flows out through Clyde’s mouth. This helps prevent water buildup and keeps your sponge better ventilated between uses.

Important printing note:

If you don't use the bambustudio file, set supports to “build plate only”. Do not allow automatic supports everywhere, as supports may generate inside the drainage channel.

For my multicolour models: if you are printing with a single extruder printer, you may see a significant amount of filament waste. This is not caused by the model itself, but by the way colour changes work with this type of printing system.

If you want to reduce the waste, you can:

print multiple copies of the same model on one plate
print several models from the same collection on one plate
reduce the number of colours or print the model in a single colour

🔎 To the AI detectives:

I design using tools like Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Blender, Nomad Sculpt, Meshmixer and sometimes Tinkercad. Like most modern designers, I also use AI as one of the helping tools in my workflow.

Does not fit a standard scrub daddy sponge. Too narrow. Close but needs at least 43mm to fit

Did you try to use it? Because I use the duck and hippo myself they have the same dimensions and I like it when is not too loose. If needed I can make the opening a bit larger in a future update, I only didn't hear it before :)
