Comfort Slip-On Shoes - Breathable
Print Profile(5)

Description
Lightweight, flexible, and designed for everyday wear with a clean street-style silhouette.
After testing multiple TPU materials, I recommend using 85A TPU or an 80A “Air” TPU for best results. The specific filaments I tested were:
• ERYONE TPU 85A
• Siraya Tech RoamR TPU Air 80A
These provided the best balance of flexibility and support in my testing. However, any TPU with similar softness should perform well — these are simply the materials I had available.
🧦 Insoles
For additional comfort, I installed 4D Cloud insoles in my personal pair.
Keep in mind that insole thickness will affect fit.
Thicker insoles can make the shoes feel tighter, while thinner insoles will provide a roomier fit.
If you plan to use insoles, you may want to slightly adjust scaling depending on your preferred fit.
🧪 PLA Fit Test Profile Included
A bottom sole test file is included and can be printed in PLA.
This piece is intended strictly for size verification only — not for wear or comfort testing.
Use this test print to confirm length and general fit before committing to a full TPU print. This can help save time and material if scaling adjustments are needed.
💧 TPU Moisture Notice
TPU is highly moisture absorbent.
For best print quality and layer consistency, dry your filament before printing.
These shoes were printed using the Bambu AMS HT active heating system to keep the TPU properly conditioned during printing.
If your TPU is not dried, you may experience:
• Stringing
• Inconsistent extrusion
• Surface bubbling
• Reduced layer strength
Proper filament drying will significantly improve results.
⚠️ Bed Adhesion Warning (Important)
TPU bonds very strongly to textured PEI build plates and can damage the surface if not handled properly.
To help with safe removal:
• Apply a thin layer of glue stick before printing (this acts as a release layer).
• After the print finishes, spray isopropyl alcohol around the base of the print.
• Let it seep underneath slightly.
• Slowly and gently peel the TPU off the plate.
This helps reduce stress on the PEI surface and prevents damage.
Take your time during removal — do not force it.
🧵 Upper Construction
The upper is printed with no walls, using infill only.
This allows for natural flexibility and improved breathability.
🦶 Sole Settings
• 2 walls
• 20% gyroid infill
I tested multiple infill percentages:
15% was too soft, 25% felt slightly stiff.
20% was the ideal balance between cushioning and structure.
You can adjust infill higher or lower depending on your preferred firmness.
The bottom of the sole features a fuzzy skin texture, which helps improve grip and adds traction when walking.
🖨 Print Setup
Printed on a Bambu Lab H2D using TPU for the shoe body and PLA supports for clean, easy removal.
For the Siraya Tech RoamR TPU Air 80A, I printed at:
• 230°C nozzle temperature
• Flow rate: 0.92
These settings produced the most consistent results in my testing.
