Description

This is a fully parametric card box and caddy. I have been making a few box's for different card sets and got annoyed editing each file to fit, so I decided to start from scratch with a parametric model.
What this means is that you just input the measurements of your cards and the caddy and box adjust their size to match.

I also decided to keep the model open to be used however you like, only Attribution is needed.

You can adapt this model to your exact needs with just a few parameter changes.

Every major dimension is controlled by parameters (I have marked the most important ones):

Open the ".f3d" file in fusion 360 Click "Modify>Change Parameters".

  • Card width, length, and height (most important)
  • Card radius, 4mm has worked for every set of cards I have tried.
  • Caddy number width/length, this allows you to add extra caddys into the box for multiple stacks of cards.

Change the card size and the entire model updates automatically — no broken features, no distorted geometry (hopefully!).

Built in clearances so you can put in the true size of the cards and the model will update to allow some "room" around them.

The rim face has a grove for a gasket, to make the gasket, just glue in some TPU or other soft filament.

The hole on the base of the caddy indicates the front, this is where the lid clearance is designed into the caddy so make sure to keep that at the front.

There are some suggested minimum values in the parameters this is to stop the model from breaking. Some of them can be worked around by changing thing like hinge width but I recommend keeping to the noted range to start with.

If you find any problems let me know and I'll try and get them fixed up.
