Description
Background
This is customisable, bracket-free, 3D Printed surround for your unique dart board set-up.
It is fully printable on the A1 Mini from just 2 plates each taking <50 mins each in total.
Designed to be glued together with 8x small hidden tack nails and therefore not require any visible brackets!
Assembly instructions
OPTIONAL ** Buy standard super glue (fast setting, plastic compatible).
- I stay away from Gorilla glue as it takes too long to set unless you have activator spray.
- If you choose not to use glue and nails then you can use your existing brackets instead. The holes will not show.
If you choose the bracket-free option then you will have you remove your exiting brackets (x4 normally) with some pliers at your own risk. Typically you will break the brackets on removal.
Print off both plates (feel free to get funky and change the colours to your hearts content)
Remove the support structures
Clean up the surfaces. (IMPORTANT to get good glue adherence). This includes scraping the surface of the joining parts mostly the ones with the hole for small nails.
Find or purchase 8x nails approx. 1 - 1.5cms long, width 3mm max and nail head 4mm max.
- Any longer and they may dig into the hard wood and when it comes to rotating the board you may have to break it to remove).
Some minor scraping or sanding of the hole may be required to adjust for your nail size. Ensure the nail does not protrude above the chamfered nail hole before gluing into place.
Glue them one piece at a time.
Push into the hairs of the board surround, close to the edge approx. 3 mm from the edge to get a flush finish.
After gluing a light bit of sanding will ensure quality of ensuring flush edges.

You can tweak the print to print 100% solid for a stronger, more impact resistant frame. Consider using PLA+ or PETG.
Please print face down onto a textured plate for a better finish, rather than have to iron the ensure surface.
