Truffle Training for Dogs – 3D Printed Model
This project aims to support truffle detection dog training, offering a practical, durable, and reusable alternative to natural truffles in the initial and intermediate training phases.
The model reproduces the realistic shape and volume of a truffle, and is composed of two screw-on hemispheres via an integrated central thread. Inside, there is a dedicated cavity for inserting:
- small pieces of real truffle
- cotton wool or sponge soaked in truffle aroma
- other specific scents for olfactory discrimination exercises
The screw closure ensures good aroma retention, allows for quick refilling, and facilitates cleaning after use.
