The Clau MAX Self-Watering Planter is a high-capacity, 210mm tall (8.25in) professional-grade system engineered for those who want a reliable, long-term home for their larger plants. By moving away from thin-walled, single-material designs, the Clau utilizes a 3-plate modular strategy to ensure durability, watertight integrity, and easy maintenance.
The 3-Plate Engineering Strategy:
- Plate 1: The Water-Contact Cups (ABS - PETG) — These are the "engine" of the system. By printing these in ABS, you ensure 100% watertight performance and a surface that resists the mineral buildup common in self-watering systems.
- Plate 2: The Outer Reservoir (ABS - PETG) — Designed for the outer structural shell. Printing this in ABS provides a premium matte finish and superior resistance to UV light and temperature fluctuations.
- Plate 3: The Inner Grow Pot (ABS - PETG - PLA) — A lightweight, easy-to-print housing for your soil and root system. This component is optimized for PLA to reduce print time while maintaining structural support for the plant. (MINIMAL SUPPORT)
