Description
GT Performer BMX Model
Model BMX is based on a GT Performer with rotating wheels, crank and pedals.
Feedback is greatly appreciated!
Pre-assembly:
Some parts may need sanding/filing before assembly to ensure a perfect fit.
Tools needed:
- Drill bit. (2mm 3mm, 4mm, 5mm & 8mm)
- Glue.
- Rasp/small file or sandpaper.
- TPU (To use as brake cable)
**(Drill bits to be used only by hand or pliers to prevent damage to parts)**
3mm drill bit used for pedals 2mm for brake lever brake caliper, 4mm drill bit used for wheel hubs (if needed) and seat post, 5mm drill bit used for headset, 8mm drill bit used for bottom bracket.
Assembly guide
Step 1 (Wheels)
Place the alignment pin (3 white pieces) into the correct cut outs on one half of the tyre then clip in place the rim.
Apply glue all round (if needed) and then place the second half of the rim and tyre onto the first.

(Repeat step one for the other wheel)
Step 2 (Fork Stempost & Stem)
Slide the fork through the headset on frame and attach the stempost to the fork with some glue next, slide on the stem.

Step 3 (Handlebar & Stem Cover)
Put a drop of glue in the groove on the stem then Place the handlebar in the groove and glue the stem cover in place.

Step 4 (Brake Lever & Grips)
Slide on brake levers and grips.

Step 5 (Drive Chain & Crank)
Get the drive chain and thread it through the right side of the chain stay on the bike frame. Then glue the end of the chain to the cut out on the ring.

Next, slide the crank through the drive chain then the frame and secure it on the other side with the crank cap.

Step 6 (Crank Arms & Pedals)
Grab the crankarms and attach them on both sides of the crank via the square holes. Next, slide the pedals on to the other end of the crankarm. (Use a 3mm drill bit by hand to open hole on the pedals) (Apply a little heat to the end of the crankarm and flatten a touch if the pedal slides back off)

Step 7 (Gear & wheels)
Slide gear through chain, then on to the right side of rear hub.

Next slide axle through frame and fork to secure wheel in place.
(As shown Below)

STEP 8 (Seat & Brake Calipers)
Glue the two halves of the Seat together, then push the seat clamp on to frame. Slide seat into frame.

Next, push the caliper on to the frame and fork.
(As shown Below)

Finally cut some TPU to size and glue it in holes on the caliper's, levers, and frame.
