Description

The Acorn Electron is a compact and affordable home computer released by Acorn Computers in 1983 as a streamlined version of the highly successful BBC Micro. Designed to bring advanced computing capabilities to a wider audience, it retained compatibility with BBC Micro software while offering impressive graphics, sound, and programming features in a smaller and more accessible form factor. Widely used in education and homes across the United Kingdom and Europe, it played a significant role in introducing a generation to computing and programming.

Today, the Acorn Electron is recognized as an important part of early home computing history and a key system in Acorn’s legacy, which would later influence the development of ARM processors.

This custom stand has been designed specifically to showcase and safely support Acorn Electron cartridges, providing collectors with a clean, stable, and elegant way to display and preserve this iconic piece of computing heritage.
