🇫🇷 Description (French)
This bust depicts Charles André Joseph Marie de Gaulle, inspired by one of the General's most iconic photographs, the one where his gaze is direct, firm, and turned towards the future. The composition adopts a frontal, solemn posture, reflecting the stature of a statesman who profoundly shaped the history of France.
The features are intentionally pronounced: a broad forehead, a long and structured nose, a powerful jaw, and a serious and determined gaze. The volumes are rigorously sculpted to emphasize the character's strength and integrity. The suit, with its prominent lapels and carefully designed tie, contributes to the visual balance and the natural authority emanating from the figure.
Leader of Free France during the Second World War, founder of the Fifth Republic, and President of the French Republic from 1959 to 1969, de Gaulle embodies resistance, national independence, and a certain idea of France. His famous Appeal of June 18, 1940 remains one of the most significant speeches in contemporary history.
This 3D-printed bust pays tribute to this major figure of the 20th century, capturing the dignity, firmness, and strategic vision that characterize his most known image.
