Description
Imraldi Pen Fridge Case and Organizer
Are you tired of your injection cardboard box being soggy and wet in your fridge?
This printable Imraldi pen case is a tidy, wipe-clean way to store your pens neatly, protect them from condensation, and keep your fridge drawer from turning into a damp cardboard graveyard. It is designed as a simple “grab and go” organizer, with a stylish hex pattern on the outside that looks great and feels really nice in the hand.
Why store them like this?
- Cleaner storage: plastic is far easier to wipe down than cardboard
- Less soggy mess: helps keep condensation off the packaging and reduces damp buildup in your drawer
- More organised: pens stay aligned and easy to count at a glance
- More durable: stops boxes getting crushed and falling apart over time
- Looks better: the hex outer shell gives it a premium, purposeful feel
Included versions (4 files)
You will find four variants to match how you store your supplies:
- 2 pens, no alcohol pad space
- 2 pens, with alcohol pad space
- 4 pens, no alcohol pad space
- 4 pens, with alcohol pad space
The alcohol-pad versions include a dedicated compartment so everything stays together.
Magnetic lid attachment
This model includes 5 mm x 2 mm magnet holes to allow the lid to be held securely in place. If you are fitting magnets, make sure you test polarity before gluing, and consider a tiny dab of superglue or epoxy to keep them seated.
Recommended print settings
- Material: PETG is a great choice for fridge use since it handles moisture well. PLA also works fine for typical fridge temperatures if you prefer easy printing.
- Layer height: 0.20 mm (0.16 mm if you want the hex to look extra crisp)
- Walls: 3 to 4
- Top and bottom layers: 5
- Infill: 10 to 20 percent (gyroid or grid is ideal)
- Supports: none (if printed in the intended orientation)
- Orientation: print the body flat on its base. Print the lid flat too.
- Brim: yes, please. Ensure brims are on. A 5 to 8 mm brim helps prevent corner lift and keeps the base perfectly flat for a nicer lid fit.
- First layer tips: slow first layer, slightly wider line width, and make sure your bed is properly cleaned for best adhesion
Notes
This is a storage and organisation accessory. Always follow your medication’s official storage guidance and keep any labels or packaging you still need.
Planned improvements
I am planning to continue work on it. The next version will be aiming at making the lid flush with the body of the case.
