Heavy Duty 2-Stage Planetary Gearbox | 36:1 Reduction | 100 Kg Load Tested
This project presents a dual-stage high-torque planetary gearbox, fully engineered and manufactured using precision FDM technology.

Designed with structural strength priority and printed at 100% solid density in PETG, this gearbox is capable of rotating up to 100 Kg load under controlled conditions.

⚙️ Gear Specification (Per Stage)

  • Module: 1
  • Ring Gear: 120 Teeth
  • Planet Gear: 48 Teeth
  • Sun Gear: 24 Teeth
  • Configuration: Ring Fixed, Sun Input, Carrier Output
  • Both stages identical

🔢 Gear Ratio Calculation

Single Stage Ratio:

GR = 1 + (Ring / Sun)
GR = 1 + (120 / 24)
GR = 6 : 1

Total for Two Stages:

6 × 6 = 36 : 1 Reduction

This provides significant torque multiplication suitable for heavy rotary applications.
