Dragon Bust Lamp

Bring a touch of legend to your desk with this majestic illuminated Dragon Bust. Specifically designed to integrate perfectly with the Bambu LED Kit 001, this model transforms plastic into an ethereal work of art thanks to its complex structure of scales and horns that diffuse light in a unique way

📦 What you will find in the project:

The file is organized into 3 optimized printing plates:

  1. Plate 1: The Dragon Bust. The heart of the project, modeled to maximize the luminous effect of PLA.
  2. Plate 2: Support Base. Base to securely house the Bambu LED module.
  3. Plate 3: Colored Diffuser Discs. (Optional) To be printed in PETG Translucent. By inserting these discs over the LED, you can drastically change the atmosphere of the lamp (e.g., Fiery Red, Ice Blue, or Emerald Green).

🕯️Optional:

Using a transparent filament such as translucent PLA or PETG you can also use the adapter for the LED Flame Tea Light Candle Set.

⚠️ Technical Challenge: Read before printing!

This model is as spectacular as it is challenging. It is a true test of skill for every Maker.

  • Support Removal Difficulty Level: 10/10.
  • Supports: The model requires a greater amount of support material than the weight of the model itself.
  • Cleaning Strategy: * Carefully remove all external supports to reveal details.
    • Internal: Remove only the central supports and those reachable with long-nose pliers. Many internal supports will remain stuck: do not worry! As shown in the photos, internal residues do not affect the quality of the final lighting.
    • Caution: Proceed with extreme delicacy so as not to damage the delicate tips of the horns and teeth.

💡 Printing Tips

  • Recommended material: White PLA (for the bust) for the best light diffusion.
  • Layer height: 0.20mm for a good balance between detail and print time.
  • Sharing: If you accept the challenge and complete this dragon, I would love to see the result! Upload a photo in the comments and let me know what light color you chose! 📸
