Description
Overview
Waterless Shishi-odoshi is a compact kinetic desk object inspired by the traditional Japanese shishi-odoshi,
recreated without water, using only a servo motor.
It slowly tilts with a gentle sway, then quickly returns to its original position,
bringing the quiet rhythm of a Japanese garden to your workspace.
Features
- No water required, safe for indoor use
- Designed for Raspberry Pi Pico W and SG90 servo
- Natural shishi-odoshi–like motion: slow tilt and quick return
- Compact, desk-friendly size
- Clean design with the servo hidden inside
Concept
This project reimagines the traditional water-driven shishi-odoshi using
electronics and motion control instead of water and gravity.
A modern, silent interpretation of a timeless Japanese kinetic object.
